Giago Valpolicella Ripasso - Damoli
In October, we harvest by hand the lightly overripened grapes. Later, we press the grapes and we put the pressing into steel tanks. The juice ferments with the grapes skins for about 15 days. During fermentation the wine and the grapes skins are mixed daily by hand with pump-over into the lap and delastage to get the maximum out of the product. The wine is produced with “Ripasso” method.
Size : magnum 1,5 ltr.
Damoli Vini is a small winery situated in Valpolicella Classica zone. We produce quality wines using indigenous grape varieties from the Veneto region, in a perfectly balanced environment for the cultivation of vines, and, subsequently, the production of high-quality wines.
Over the years, our family has dedicated itself to Valpolicella and to its products, and for generations we have lived on this land and produced wine. Bruno Damoli, together with his children Daniele and Lara, manages the company. At all times Bruno brings his considerable experience to bear in the management and cultivation of the vineyards. Daniele is the oenologist. Since he was a child, he has followed and watched the work in the vineyard of his father and his grandfather. Those moments provided a great insight and a formidable skill-setfor his future. Lara represents the commercial soul of the business. She imparts the family’spassion and dedication with her boundless energy and her warm and generous public relations abilities.
Our production, limited but of high quality, is the result of the constant attention of Daniele and Bruno and the particular geographical location where the vines are located.
History, innovation, tradition and quality: together these keywords are the cornerstone of our business philosophy. We never forget our past, we look forwards our future.
The quality of our wines has its origins in the vineyards. The vines are located on the valley sides between 200 to 500 meters above sea-level and from the outset the vineyards have been nurtured to ensure the best yield and quality of grapes.
From the sun to the soil. From the soil to the vine. From the grapes to the glass. Wines of great character and excellent quality can only be the result of tireless and daily dedication to the winemakers art.
