A survey by car credit provider Cetelem shows that 43% (out of 11,000 people from 17 countries) believe that SUV buyers are just following a fad. And 34% think this consumer group is all about standing out and impressing others. But there is a paradox. When all respondents are asked what characterizes an SUV, only 9% mention the fashion aspect.
